Milk Link, Our Business, Corporate Governance

Milk Link has a policy of adhering to high standards of corporate governance to help safeguard Members’ interests.

The co-operative governance structure provides for a transparent representation of the Members’ interests on the Board, through the election of representatives from Local Groups onto the Council, which in turn elects a majority of the Directors of the Board. The Council provides a channel for the dissemination of all necessary information from the Board to the Members, and for the raising of issues by Members to the Board. The structure is designed so that Members can be assured that their interests in the co-operative are represented, thus providing them with the confidence to make capital contributions.
